"Savvy Ladies eased my fears regarding my finances. I have learned to completely look at situations in a very positive manner. No financial change is too small! I know I can achieve and be rewarded with some work on my part without life altering changes. Savvy Ladies has been one of the most positive and easy experiences I have ever had. The network of women is diverse and interesting. They are always willing to share and grow. I have learned so much from Stacy and the other Savvy Ladies that I will never be in the financial dark again!" ~ Sandra Mateo, 2006 Savvy Volunteer of the Year
"The Savvy Ladies presentations are even more interesting because they are geared towards women and created by a woman that was well informed in the subject matter. Just recently, I was able to transfer my high interest credit cards to a significantly lower interest rate. I also was able to switch car insurance companies and I will be saving $400 on top of the significant savings on credit card interest. I have also curtailed needless spending and continue to look for ways to invest. I have also been actively looking at my credit report and strive for a better credit score. I know now that I am well on my way to a better financial future. Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to purchase a home with, of course, the insight of Savvy Ladies. I am very thankful for the help that Savvy Ladies has offered through emails and presentations to the female community." ~ Hazel Seda
"Being a small business owner, cash flow is a big issue for me. The Savvy Ladies seminars have helped me prioritize expenses and manage my uneven finances. I have also gotten great tips on investment strategies that can be implemented with smaller amounts of money and been encouraged to continue to think about the future, with retirement planning. Mostly, the seminars have been a continual reminder to keep on top of improving my “financial health,” and an inspiration to get moving on it! Plus, attending the seminars gives me an opportunity to meet other great women who are interested in taking responsibility for their money. ~Heather Floyd
"My first Savvy Ladies class was a Saturday all day financial seminar at NYU. I can't stress enough that the class ended up changing my life. On Monday I redid my savings strategy. By Tuesday, I had online access to my retirement accounts and I had changed the allocations. By the end of the week (I was definitely busy), my husband and I had a savings plan in order have the down payment for a co-op in 3 years time. The following week after that, my credit cards were paid off and our emergency fund was set up. I was one of those women who thought that finances were a strange language. It's great to know that it's easy to get an idea of what's going on and that you can have the house, retirement, savings, etc. on your current salary with just a little bit of work. Much thanks to Savvy Ladies for allowing me to realize what is possible."~ Lorelei De Mesa
"The Savvy Ladies events help me to do a reality check on the things I’ve always believed to be true about finances and handling my money. Through attending the events I’ve found that I’m not alone in some of my misconceptions and I have also learned from the experience of others. Since attending the meetings I’m much more confident about my ability to handle my finances. I have a solid plan for the future to include retirement planning, and I’ve also learned that so many things are possible and within my reach." ~ Denise Grant, 2006 Savvy Lady of the Year
